Coweta Samaritan Clinic

I am helping with the decorations for a local fundraiser, Bluegrass and Barbeque.  It benefits the Coweta Samaritan Clinic which offers medical care to residents of Coweta County who are without medical insurance or the means to afford care. (www.cowetasamaritanclinic.org)


The event is held at a fabulous place, Dunaway Gardens (www.dunawaygardens.com)



I have had this "banjo man" for years and thought I would use him for the bluegrass theme. I don't know who the artist is but I am crazy about this guy.

So I decided the "banjo man" needed others to add to his group. 

So we have "guitar man".

And "fiddle man".

The event is September 9, 2012.  I will post some of the other decorations as I get the photos.

Wooden pallet coffee table

Found a weathered wooden pallet and my husband made it into a coffee table.

                                   
                                     He did a great job.  It is a great addition to the beach house.

A Horsey Affair

Painted this life size horse for "A Horsey Affair" sponsored by the Newnan Coweta Historical Society.  "A Horsey Affair" is a fundraiser for a children's museum.  Twenty five artists painted horses and colts.  They are displayed all around the square in downtown Newnan, Georgia and are incredible.   If you are in the area, you should check them out.

"ORNAMENT"

This is another of the Christmas ornaments that I have been busy stitching.

"ORNAMENTS"

I have been working on these little (3 inch x 3 inch) fiber art Christmas ornaments. They are headed to the Vintage Flea in Newnan, Georgia. Hopefully, they will find a new home on someone's Christmas tree.

"SANTA"

This Santa is headed to "The Vintage Flea" in downtown Newnan, GA for the Christmas Open House this Sunday, November 14. If you are in the area, stop by and take a peak. The Vintage Flea has wonderful art and lots of great gifts.

This Santa is made with a piece of wood that I found on the beach. I added paint, beads, buttons , etc. and he is ready to hang.

I just completed this fiber art piece. She might be a little funky, but "she has a heart of gold".
